From technical drawing to inspection plan
CNC+ (CrazyPoint CNC Plus) is a fully offline Windows application we built for machining shops. It opens a technical drawing PDF, finds the dimensions and tolerances, places balloon numbers and prepares the ballooned drawing, the FAI (first article inspection) report and the list of critical dimensions the machinist follows at the machine.
The app never connects to the internet, so your customers' drawings never leave your computer. It is currently being piloted in selected shops.
Reads dimensions, tolerances and GD&T symbols from the PDF. On drawings where text has been converted to lines, it uses offline OCR.
Numbers every dimension and places the balloons on the drawing; you can adjust the numbering and placement by hand.
Calculates upper and lower limits with ISO 286 fits and ISO 2768 general tolerances, and marks critical dimensions.
Exports the ballooned PDF, an Excel FAI report and the machinist's critical dimension list in one go.
The app makes no internet connection. Optional AI assistance only runs when you explicitly allow it.
Fixturing and process plans can be prepared with machine, tool and cutting data libraries; G-code generation is on the roadmap.
In machining, every new part starts with finding and numbering the dimensions on the technical drawing one by one. This is usually done by hand, switching back and forth between a PDF reader and Excel; it takes a long time, and a missed dimension becomes expensive at first article inspection.
CNC+ automates this preparation. It reads dimensions and tolerances from the drawing itself, calculates the upper and lower limits from the standard tables, places the balloons and prepares the FAI report with the same numbering. At the machine, the machinist works from a simple list that shows only the critical dimensions. All of this happens without an internet connection, and customer drawings never leave the shop.
Load the customer's PDF technical drawing into the app.
CNC+ finds the dimension candidates; review and confirm the list, correcting it where needed.
Numbers and balloons are placed on the drawing; adjust the order and positions as you need.
Export the ballooned PDF, the FAI report and the critical dimension list.
For shops that work from technical drawings and want first article inspections prepared quickly and without errors.
No. CNC+ runs fully offline; technical drawings never leave your computer.
It works with PDF technical drawings. Dimensions are read directly from drawings with a text layer; for drawings where text has been converted to lines, offline OCR takes over.
Not yet. Process planning is available experimentally; G-code generation for Fanuc-controlled lathes and 3-axis mills is on the roadmap.
Not yet; the interface is currently in Turkish.
