Kinetic typography synced to speech
Type Hook is an After Effects plugin that builds "hook" text for social media videos: words appear one by one in sync with speech. It highlights the key word with its own font and colour and places the text in the area you choose (top, middle or bottom) on its own.
You can download and use Type Hook for free until January 5, 2027. Please note that the panel interface is currently in Turkish.
Each line is a group that appears on screen together. Pick the word to highlight with one click; auto split and auto highlight prepare long texts for you.

One of the things that keeps viewers watching in the first seconds on social media is highlighted text that appears along with the speech. Doing this by hand in After Effects means a separate layer, separate timing and separate styling for every word; a single video can take hours.
Type Hook reduces this to a few steps. You write the text, pick the word to highlight and mark the area where the text should sit; the timing comes from markers or a subtitle file. The result is ordinary After Effects layers you can edit word by word.
